Axe Cop!

For this week’s Rival Radar feature, we had the opportunity to chat with Ethan Nicolle, the creator of the incredibly viral webcomic: Axe Cop.  This was an interesting interview that really showed what kind of person Ethan is, and what kind of relationship he has with his five year old brother who helped create and write the webcomic.  Continue reading for our full interveiw!

Broken Soul Press is a great indie comic studio founded by Curtis Lawson.  Curtis not only runs BSP, but writes all of the stories that they publish.  Everything we’ve seen from this studio is top notch, and definitely worth checking out if you are even remotely interested in webcomics.  When Rival was preparing to relaunch, Curtis Lawson’s Grindhouse was one of the first comics we noticed on Drunk Duck as we were starting to post Rogue Faction and CAPTive.  We were instantly blown away with what we saw in Grindhouse, and everything released from BSP webcomics since has been equally amazing.  The level of quality is unparalleled in the webcomics world.  The writing is always witty, dark and gripping, and the artists chosen to work on BSP projects are always extremely talented and seem to always produce the best looking webcomics the internet has to offer.  We recently had the opportunity to do an interview with Curtis Lawson, which was a great experience.  We are very proud to present Curtis Lawson and his studio, Broken Soul Press as our first Rival Radar feature.  Continue reading for the full interview!!

Also added to the site is the new Rival Radar.  The Rival Radar will be a section dedicated to featuring other webcomics found anywhere around the web.  We will email creators on a regular basis to feature their work and include interviews, reviews, link information, pictures, etc.

We’re not quite sure of the frequency of this section, but we will probably start with a bi-weekly feature.
